It's Monday -- What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at One Persons Journey Through a World of Books. It's is a weekly event to celebrate what we are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

REVIEWED LAST WEEK:

One Day by David Nicholls (2 out of 5 stars -- really disappointing)

Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart (3 out of 5 stars - Quaint and nostalgic)

FINISHED (not yet reviewed):

Still Alice by Lisa Genova
Still Alice

(Wow -- fascinating and terrifying, especially since I almost put the milk in the cabinets instead of the refrigerator!  Will definitely read more by this author -- I loved it, I'm adding it to the "staff picks" on the library shelf).

CURRENTLY READING:

The Invisible Mountain by Carolina De Robertis

The Invisible Mountain

Busy week ahead -- I start back to work at the library tomorrow, I have to take dinner to a family on Tuesday, I have dental appointments for 2/3rds of my children on Wednesday -- and I have my FIRST PTA meeting on Thursday! I am terrified! I'm trying to remember my Robert's Rules of Order! "I need a motion, is there a 2nd? "All in favor say AYE -- the motion passes!" I wish it was that easy.

I hope I get to read a little bit this week.

Have a great week -- what are you reading?

Did you like Still Alice? I really enjoyed it - so much that my copy is traveling around the US!

I hope you liked it :)

Good luck at PTA.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't like One Day, I loved it! I am reading The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley this week. It is very sweet.

Funny you mention the Robert's Rules of Order. I've just volunteered for a Board of Directors with a local non-profit and my Mother gave her copy of Robert's Rules as a congratulations. Hope it's not too complicated. Good luck with the PTA.

I have added Still Alice to my wish list. You will do fine at the PTA! They are just other parents and teachers and they will help you out if need be.

It's that busy time of year again. :) Still Alice sounds good. Any book that makes you forget to put the milk in the fridge is worth reading! Hope you get some reading time.

Still Alice was recommended to me by my neighbor, and I really liked it. It's just one of those books you need a stack of kleenex for!
